Student services

IBSB believes that good education entails personal growth, social and emotional development and last but not least, real-life skills. This is why we offer a Counseling Program that supports the academic one.
Counseling sessions are available for our students, their parents and families and are done in a caring, safe and creative environment. Our professionals are committed to provide the best possible services to the students and to act in such a way as to help them develop an awareness of and functioning from a position of dignity, autonomy and personal responsibility.

The main elements of the counseling program are:

  • Personal counseling – adapted to the needs and developmental stage of every child
  • Group counseling – students with similar needs and issues meet to offer and receive support, to take action, to reflect on certain situations, to problem solve and to enjoy each other’s contribution
  • Individual and group assessment – individual personality profile, group dynamics, psychological processing, attitude
  • Transition programs from a Key Stage to another
  • Links with Community – Referrals and consultation with different professionals
  • Crisis and conflict management
  • PSHE assistance and training – supporting form teachers in their work with the whole class
  • Staff training – teambuilding, professional development, special education needs(SEN)
  • Work with parents and family
