ESU Public Speaking Competition

 



On Sunday the 11th of February, IBSB will play host to many of the top young 12-15 year old public speakers from Bucharest, coming from many of the top Romania schools.
 

The English Speaking Union, established by Royal Charter with Her Majesty The Queen as patron and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh as President, is an organisation set  up to provide people in the UK and internationally with communication skills, confidence and networking opportunities. There are over 100 countries worldwide that participate in this public speaking competition each year, with the top two students in the 16-20 year age group being offered the opportunity to represent their country in London in the ESU World Public Speaking Competition. All students who enter the competition receive a certificate of participation with the best students receiving a 1st, 2nd, 3rd Certificate, or Honourable mention.  http://www.esu.org/about-us

Any IBSB parents wishing to see the quality of public speaking in Bucharest are welcome to attend. The competition will run between 12.00-3.00pm on Saturday, February 11th 2012.
