PTF Events 2009

Year 2009 Events

In December we celebrated St Nicholas Day at an evening party in the Intercontinental Hotel on the panoramic floor overlooking the city. This joint event with the Acorns Nursery enjoyed excellent food, dancing and a well stocked raffle. The raffle generated funds for the PTF which were used to support the school swimming team in the Bucharest inter schools gala in January.

In March the PTF arranged an evening of Rugby Union at the school to coincide with the final round of matches in the 6 Nations Championship. The evening commenced with an introductory talk about Rugby from our guest Ronnie Smith and then followed a House competition of touch rugby which was played by boys and girls and by juniors and seniors. The weather was getting cold and the move inside the school to watch the professional matches was most welcome. Again, a raffle of various Rugby and other items raised more funds for the PTF.

These funds were used to support the successful “Cernica Clean Up” event at the beginning of May.

Students vs Teachers/Parents annual cricket Match. This was another great day out. Students wan again…!

Your PTF has again been an integral part of school life helping to generate social events and to raise funds for extras not covered by the educational school fees. The PTF is a totally voluntary team of people who freely give their time and energy to support the school. There is always room for new faces and new ideas so if you would like to be involved please get in touch. Even if you do not want to be involved directly please do let us know what kind of events you would attend.
