The Japanese School

2008

The Japanese School visited us on September 30st and participated in our house games. The feedback from both their staff and students was generally very favourable. We in turn paid an enjoyable visit to their school with a mixed staff and student group. They were also invited to our UN Day on October 24nd and performed once more an impressive drum display in the afternoon show.

2007

On Tuesday 20th February Year Four, accompanied by Ms Adriana and Miss Perry, went to visit the Japanese School.

The children were invited to watch a play about a traditional Japanese Story explaining why rice parcels were first made. Year Four loved watching the play and enjoyed hearing the song performed by their friends. The class then learned how to make their own rice parcels by modelling the rice into a ball. This was an exciting activity and some of the class tried seaweed for their first time.

It was a wonderful afternoon and we are already looking forward to the next time when we will meet with our Japanese friends.
