Ateliers Sans Frontieres

Workshop without Frontiers

Workshop without Frontiers is an NGO we link with as a school and support with voluntary work. Their mission is far reaching:

  •  They mobilise young people and adults in the situation of exclusion and help them lead responsible, independent lives.
  •  They support local initiatives of solidarity and social development
  • by provinding quality materials and equipment that are free or are at minimal cost.
  •  They fight against waste and pollution for sustainable development by recovering electronic equipment that is further reused or recycled.

The ones involved in dismantling and refurbishing the hardware and electrical equipment are marginalised people who want a second chance in life and are willing to learn the necessary skills, become responsible for their own lives and work on a daily basis. By helping the workshop we help safeguard the environment and fight against discrimination. Our volunteer students visit every week providing elementary English support for the beneficiaries of the project, helping with dismantling and advertising the project in our school and beyond.

How can YOU help?

  •  Participate by offering a second life to your computers and any other Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), and by assisting marginalized, disadvantaged individuals who want a second chance in life.
  •  Spread the word! Let everyone who owns a computer know that they can recycle it (when they get bored of it) instead of just dumping it. This way they can protect the environment and offer a workplace at the same time!
